“Everything is connected — what you put in your body directly effects how you feel emotionally. When we find tune ourselves like an instrument we can play beautiful music in life.”

MAY ALL OUR THOUGHT, WORDS, & ACTIONS COME FROM A PLACE OF LOVE & COMPASSION.

“We are so much more than we realize,” says Daina Fawn, and it is this belief that has shaped the way she approaches her role as a health and life coach.

She is devoted to helping others be the highest version of themselves, encouraging her clients to make positive changes in their lives using a holistic approach that encompasses exercise, nutrition, and emotional well-being.

A dancer from childhood and owner of her own studio and Charisma nonprofit for the arts at only eighteen years old, Daina sees her foundation in movement as fundamental to her understanding of the human potential. Still, it was her introduction to yoga in 2010 that she credits with “lighting the flame in her heart” to help others.  Through yoga, with its parallels to dance, she began to understand the healing capacity of the human body.

“When dancers move, it gets them in the present moment, fine-tuning their instrument,” she explains. “It’s the same with yoga. Yoga is way more than something we do on a mat. You are balancing your energy --it can be exercise, but if you use your mind, your attention, your breath, it can be more. Movement has the power to transform in a way that nothing else can.”

She sought out experiences to expand her understanding of the healing arts, earning a BA in Holistic Ministries and certifying as a 200 hour registered yoga teacher at Grace Yoga in Richmond, Virginia. She also studied as a protégé of Mary Bauman with Balanced Energies. Drawing on these experiences and her background as a dancer, Daina developed Transzendance, a unique fusion of energy balancing, global dance, and Yoga.

Daina’s studies took her to Hawaii, where she lived and worked at the Kalani Oceanside Retreat Center teaching yoga and Transzendance. She also taught at the Natural Pathic Center, an organization designed to help people heal serious illness through lifestyle and diet. It was in Hawaii that Daina came to a deeper, more complete understanding of the relationship between food and mental and physical health.

“Everything is connected — what you put in your body directly effects how you feel emotionally.  You need to link food that is good for your body, and it isn’t the same for everyone,” Daina explains.

In addition to helping clients adopt healthier lifestyles through movement and diet, Daina also focuses on changing mental mindsets.

“What are we thinking about every day? Are our thought patterns positive or negative? I try to guide people to release the old programs and to replace them with positive thoughts. Then they can achieve the new reality they want to be in.”

A certified Stott Pilates instructor, TRX trainer, Acroyoga teacher, and Thai massage therapist, Daina is also the Artistic Director of Charisma Dance Company.  In her work with clients and in her own life, she continues to seek out the best practices to achieve physical and emotional health.
